OMBUDSPERSON - An independent ombudsperson works with individuals to help them resolve sensitive and controversial work-related issues in a safe and confidential environment in an informal manner. Warren Morris is an associate with A.W.R. Inc - Alternative Workplace Resolutions, a company that, among other things, provide the services of an independent ombudsperson. FACILITATION - A flexible process where an impartial facilitator assists individuals within a group, department or company, to work towards a common goal. Facilitation works well for implementing new policies/procedures, projects or integrating organizations after a merger/acquisition.
Group Facilitation is also useful in the context of a Municipality's attempt to bridge difference between competing interest groups in land use and planning disputes. Facilitation can often narrow or eliminate the issues that go before the Ontario Municipal Board.
PARTNERING - A flexible process where a facilitator assists two or more groups, organizations or companies to work towards a common goal. Partnering is typically used in the construction industry (between a general contractor architects, engineers and all subcontractors) or between companies involved in a joint venture.
LEGAL CONSULTING - Warren Morris is qualified and licensed to practice law in the province of Ontario. Although Warren's practice is focused on alternative dispute resolution (ADR), he will advise and represent clients in particular areas of expertise.
MORTGAGE FINANCING - Warren has experience and is currently active in arranging mortgages for individuals or corporations that have difficulty obtaining financing from conventional lenders. He has arranged mortgages on various difficult to finance properties including commercial, industrial, residential and construction.
